What does the day-to-day look like?
The Director of Membership Engagement plans, develops, executes and evaluates the association’s events and programs across a wide range of banking topics and disciplines. They will lead the Member Engagement team and be responsible for conferences and member professional development programs. This role will also develop and maintain relationships with member banks, affiliate members, other state banking associations, vendors and national association partners to find growth and partnership opportunities for the NCBA.
Given those responsibilities, it’s critical to be:
- Organized
- Detail-oriented
- Capable of managing multiple projects at once
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
Experience with Cvent registration management system is a plus but not required.
What is required?
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course of study
- Knowledge of sourcing, negotiating and managing event agreements
What is preferred?
- Knowledge of the financial services industry
- Familiarity with the State of North Carolina and event opportunities
What are Must Haves?
- Minimum five years experience sourcing events and programs
- Proven knowledge and skills to successfully coordinate, manage and execute events, turn-key
- Demonstrated ability producing detailed proposals for events
- Experience managing information flow with event participants, sponsors and stakeholders
