Government Relations

As Congress, the NC General Assembly, and banking regulators consider adopting laws and regulations that would affect banks operating in North Carolina, the NCBA works to ensure that our members are well-informed and have a voice in the discussions. NCBA staff monitor legislative proposals, attend legislative committee meetings, and work to introduce needed changes and improve or defeat legislation. We also comment on proposed rulemakings by federal and state agencies.

You can help by participating in activities like our Washington government relations summits, letter-writing campaigns, and banker meetings with members of Congress, state legislators, and regulators.
