What Is Warmth for Wake?

Warmth for Wake is an energy assistance program sponsored by the NC Bankers Association and Wake County Human Services, aimed at providing fuel for low-income households in Wake County during cold months.  More than $1 million has been raised since the campaign’s inception. Warmth for Wake is funded entirely through voluntary contributions from individuals, groups, and companies.

Warmth for Wake officially begins Thanksgiving Day and is administered through the Office of Community Affairs at Wake County Human Services. NO ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS are taken from contributions – 100% of each donation goes directly to those in need. Visit Wake County Warmth for Wake.

Are You Eligible to Receive Assistance?

Those served must be Wake County residents. Wake County Human Services staff screen applicants. They look at all income and resources as well as expenses, and also consider emergency or special situations that may have affected available income. Income guidelines are based on current poverty levels. If interested in applying for the program, please call 919-212-7000.  Visit www.wakegov.com to find out about other energy assistance programs.
