The purpose of the DEI Strategy and Education Committee is to demonstrate the inherent business value of DEI efforts. Our first major project is to create a DEI Roadmap as a resource for community banks that have an interest in creating a DEI program. The Committee is leveraging our relationships and personal expertise while also reaching out to experienced DEI practitioners to create a step-by-step guide for banks to follow in their DEI journey.
Our Committee has been inspired to hear the perspectives of top DEI executives and we are in the process of performing our due diligence in researching best practices. We are also taking into consideration current federal regulatory guidelines and potential changes in corporate social responsibility expectations by clients and shareholders.
