Michelle Andrews

Michelle Andrews is Senior Vice President and Director, Credit Analysis for First Citizens Bank in Raleigh, NC. Over the course of her 30-year career in the financial services industry she has successfully led teams across multiple functions, including credit underwriting and portfolio management, talent development, and credit software administration. Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in accounting from the University of Indianapolis and is also a graduate of the North Carolina School of Banking. She is heavily involved in the community, serving as a United Way campaign member for First Citizens Bank since 2015, and as a presenter for Career Conversations in Banking at Panther Creek High School from 2014 – 2019. Other causes important to Michelle are food insecurity, homelessness, education, and gun violence. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her husband and son – a student at NC State – as well as reading and cooking.


David Barksdale

David P. Barksdale joined Piedmont Federal Savings Bank as Chief Executive Officer in September 2019.  Piedmont Federal is a $1.1 billion mutual savings bank founded in 1903 and serves the Triad, Northwest NC, and Lake Norman markets.  Recent initiatives include a new business banking line of business, enhanced digital capabilities, and teammate engagement strategies.

David is involved in the Boy Scouts of America, United Way, and High Point University Board of Visitors.  He and his wife, Jennifer, enjoy Wake Forest sports and all varieties of BBQ.


Dion Bennett

Dion Bennett is Vice President of Business Development at First Bank with eight years of banking experience. Prior to the transition into banking, Dion worked for 12 years as an engineering consultant for large industrial and utility clients.

In his current role he assists commercial based clients and businesses with financing, business strategy development and resolution of a host of financial issues. Specializing in banking, Dion relies on his vast experience to help a wide range of client’s fund or enhance their business.

Throughout his career, he has assisted clients in various industries with starting and expanding their businesses. Working directly with entrepreneurs and investors alike has provided him with expertise in Owner-Occupied Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Debt Refinance, Partner Buy-outs, Business Acquisitions, and Expansions.

When they’re not working, Dion and his wife Kim love spending time watching their two children playing tennis and hockey. Dion is also is an avid tennis and basketball player himself

 


Chennade Brown

Chennade Brown is currently a Regional Credit Officer at First Citizens Bank. In her current role she underwrites and approves business loans up to $5mm.

Chennade joined First Citizens Bank in 2008.  During her time at First Citizens Chennade has held roles in commercial spreads, portfolio analysis, and small business underwriting. Prior to joining First Citizens Bank Chennade worked for Truist Bank (formerly BB&T) as a teller for three years while attending college.

Chennade earned her BS Degree in Information Technologies and Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University. She recently received a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics and Data Management from NC State University.  Chennade has also earned her Credit Risk Certification through RMA.


Chris Frederick

Chris Frederick is a Commercial Credit Manager for Cisco Systems in Raleigh, NC.  Within this role, he manages a portfolio of publicly traded corporations and private enterprises. Chris has been in the commercial finance space for more than 15 years and has experience in various divisions including Small Business, Commercial Real Estate, and Corporate & Institution.  Chris is an alumnus of UNC-Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business where he received a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and Marketing.


Sedrick McCallum

When Sedrick McCallum joined SouthState Bank as Senior Vice President, Community Development Officer in January 2021 he brought with him deep knowledge of community development. Based in Charlotte, he supports both the North Carolina and South Carolina markets. He came to SouthState from Synovus where he was Senior Community Development Manager for SC and GA. Overall, Sedrick possesses more than twenty-five years of financial services experience and an expansive network of relationships. In addition to his background in community development and banking, Sedrick served as a National Guard Reservist from 2008 to 2016.


James Mills

James L. Mills is a Senior Financial Examiner for the North Carolina Office of The Commissioner of Banks in Raleigh, where he has served since 2007. Prior to that he held various positions of increasing responsibility with First Union/Wachovia Bank in Charlotte, Hickory, Asheville and Rocky Mount. Possessing a deep passion for giving back, James has been recognized throughout his career for volunteering, including the Boy Scouts of America Outstanding District Committee Member of the Year, Beta Phi Chapter Omega Man of The Year, and Alpha Omicron Chapter Omega Psi Phi Citizen of the Year.

After graduating from North Carolina Central University with a B.A. in Public Administration, James served his alma mater as a motivational consultant for nearly 25 years. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Commercial Lending Program at East Carolina and UNC-Chapel Hill’s Mid-Management, School of Banking.  In his spare time James enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and watching sports.


Jeff Moncrief

Jeff Moncrief is Senior Vice President at SouthState Bank in Raleigh, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining commercial relationships for clients with $50MM in revenue and larger. Born in Shreveport, LA, Jeff attended LSU and received a BS in Finance.  Following two years as a bank consultant in Baton Rouge, he moved to Atlanta and joined SunTrust Bank in its Asset Based Lending group. Eight years later he accepted an opportunity to be a Commercial Banker with JPMorgan in his hometown of Shreveport. In 2011, Jeff decided to leave banking and work with a former client in NC as the Treasurer and Director of Credit.  After five years in that role, he rejoined the banking industry as a Middle Market Banker in Raleigh.

Jeff is married to Kari and they have 2 children, Sophia and Evan. When he is not working, he spends time cooking, playing tennis, or relaxing in the mountains of VA on Big Reed Island Creek.


Terry Parker

Terry Parker has been with TowneBank since 2011. Based in Cary, NC, in his current role as Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer he assists local businesses with meeting their financial goals through commercial financing, cash management services and other financial services. On a daily basis, he is responsible for servicing commercial business relationships, assisting with financing needs, and managing his portfolio of business member relationships.

Terry received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Hampton University. He is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers School of Banker Management. He is also a member of the Spiked Foundation, the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Advisory Board, the Northwest Cary YMCA Advisory Board and the Cary Chamber of Commerce.


Mark Robbe

As Business Banking Sales Manager at US Bank, Mark Robbe leads the Business Banking Team in North Carolina, focusing on generating new business clients with revenues up to $30mm by proactively being present in the Greater Charlotte market.  In this role, Mark’s top priorities are building relationships and assisting his Relationship Managers with customer growth. He started his US Bank career in 2014 as Business Banking Officer. Prior to that he was Branch Manager, Assistant Vice President at KeyBank, where worked with hundreds of local residents and numerous local businesses.  Mark moved to Charlotte in 2021 where he resides with his wife Staci and two children, Anna & William.  He is an active volunteer in his children’s academics and sports endeavors.
