On Tuesday, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing on deposit insurance reform. The committee is trying to gather information and get a range of views from small, medium, and large institutions as it considers what direction it should consider for possible reforms.

The committee heard from bank CEOs, a state banking trade association executive, a speaker from Americans for Tax Reform, and a banking attorney with a multi-national law firm.
