The next meeting of the State Banking Commission is slated for October 29, 2025, at the agency’s new Raleigh office (3100 Smoketree Court, 11th Floor, Raleigh, NC 27604).
The State Banking Commission consists of the State Treasurer and 14 appointed members. Of the total, five must be practical bankers – an individual who is, or has been during the five years preceding the appointment, a president, chief executive officer, director, or holder of five percent (5%) or more of any class of voting securities of a North Carolina financial institution.
The latest banker to serve on the State Banking Commission is Earl Worley, President and CEO, KS Bank, who was appointed upon the recommendation of the Speaker of the House and confirmed by the General Assembly.
