FDIC Leadership Changes

The FDIC has announced five senior leadership appointments. Among those named is Ryan Billingsley, who has been appointed Director of the FDIC’s Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS), overseeing the agency’s safety and soundness examination and supervision of insured commercial banks and savings institutions. Billingsley had been serving as Acting Director of RMS since March 2025.

Also of note, Dan Marcotte has been appointed FDIC Ombudsman, serving as liaison between the FDIC and any entity experiencing problems with the FDIC’s supervisory, examination, or resolution activities. Marcotte had been serving as Acting Ombudsman since May 2025 and has 35 years of experience at the agency.
